Biography

Frank Mir is a heavyweight currently fighting in the UFC's heavyweight division.

Mir is a BJJ black belt - it was awarded to him when he won the UFC heavyweight championship by snapping Tim Sylvia's forearm. It took him just five years to earn it.

After a motorcycle accident, Mir relinquished the title and it was unclear whether he would fight again.

He returned to the UFC and had mixed fortunes, losing two of his first three. He then found his feet again and garnered a string of victories that earned him the Interim heavyweight title. He lost this when Brock Lesnar got redemption for the earlier loss and TKOed Mir in the second round of their encounter.

He trained in Vegas but has recently moved to Sityodtong to train under Mark Dellagrotte.
