Shane Carwin is a heavyweight competing in the UFC.

He broke into the organisation with a fierce reputation; winning all eight of his bouts on regional promotions by first round stoppage. He continued that streak in the UFC, having never been out of the first round in preparation for his title fight with Brock Lesnar.

Carwin had a successful wrestling career in NCAA Division II as well as a successful American Football stint there.

He balances training with his family business and currently works with Greg Jackson and Grudge training centre.
