Alistair Overeem is a Dutch MMA and K-1 fighter based out of Golden Glory.

He has been active since 1999 and used to compete in the light-heavyweight division. The cut got too much and he moved to heavyweight - adding significant mass which prompted many fans to ask questions of his 'supplement' regime.

Overeem fought largely in the Rings promotion before moving to Pride FC and then Strikeforce where he became the heavyweight champion after beating Paul Buentello.

He competed in Dream and has since focused on his K-1 career of late, taking on some of the top competitors in the sport. He beat Peter Aerts and Badr Hari and dropped a close decision to Remy Bonjasky.

His best wins in MMA have come over Mark Hunt, Vitor Belfort, Igor Vovchanchyn and Sergei Kharitonov.
