Biography
Michael 'The Count' Bisping is a British fighter from Clitheroe, Lancashire.
In early 2006 Bisping was featured on the UFC's The Ultimate Fighter reality television series as a contestant training under Tito Ortiz. He went on to win the competition with wins over the likes of Ross Pointon and Josh Haynes. This made him the first British winner of the competition.
After winning TUF, Bisping posted three wins in the UFC before tasting his first loss due to a split decision to future champion Rashad Evans. Following the loss he dropped to middleweight where he earned another three fight win streak before having it ended at the hands of Dan Henderson's overhand right.
He is one of the most popular British fighters and often heralded as one of the reasons the UFC has been so successful in the UK following his TUF success.
