James McSweeney is a British fighter based out of Greg Jackson's camp in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the likes of Rashad Evans and Georges St-Pierre.

McSweeney had an extensive Muay Thai and Kickboxing background before entering MMA. He cut his teeth on the UK scene in London with his best win coming over Roman Webber in Cage Rage.

After moving to New Mexico to train with Greg Jackson and assist with the striking duties, he was selected as a cast member for The Ultimate Fighter Season 10: The Heavyweights alongside Roy Nelson, Kimbo Slice and many others.

He was picked first by team-mate Evans and defeated Wes Shivers and Matt Mitrione before being stopped by eventual winner Roy Nelson.

He fought again at the finale and stopped Darrill Schoonover in the third.
