James Thompson is a British fighter from London Shootfighters that has featured in Cage Rage, Pride FC, Elite XC, Dream and Sengoku.

Thompson is widely known for his 'gong and rush' tactics at the start of a fight and the Rochdale man has squared off against some of the biggest names in the business; Kimbo Slice, Don Frye, Alistair Overeem, Aleks Emelianenko and Brett Rogers.

Thompson's controversial encounter with Kimbo Slice in EliteXC exposed him to millions although he was already a star in Japan for his larger than life demeanour in the ring and exciting performances - win or lose.
