Biography
Gray Maynard is an American wrestler that fights in the UFC and featured on The Ultimate Fighter 5 under the tutelage of BJ Penn.
Maynard was a 2x State Champion, High School National Champion, 3x Div. 1 NCAA All American.
He reached the semi-finals of TUF by beating Wayne Weems and Brandon Melendez but was submitted by Nate Diaz, though he remained undefeated as the bouts in TUF only class as exhibitions.
In a strange occurrance, Maynard and Rob Emerson fought to a No Contest after what was classed as a double KO when Maynard slammed Emerson, rendering himself unconscious and forcing Emerson to tap out to a rib injury simultaneously.
Maynard has since gone on to defeat the likes of Frankie Edgar, Roger Huerta and Jim Miller to cement himself as a top contender in the UFC at 155lbs.
