The fights are coming thick and fast for the only UK UFC event of the year, and the British contingent are filling out the card with many testing opponents being brought in.

Sources close to the fight have told www.YourMMA.tv that Mark Scanlon vs. James Head has been agreed to for UFC 138, which will see Scanlon (7-1) fight for the first time since his UFC debut against Pascal Krauss in November, 2010.

The decision against Krauss didn't go the Kaobon man's way, but he did pocket the 'Fight of the Night' bonus for the pair's impressive performance in the cage. After a long layoff he is set to return and takes on Oklahoma's James Head (7-2).

Head also lost his UFC debut to an unbeaten adversary in Nick Ring, as he was submitted via rear naked choke in the third round of their encounter just last month. He'll be dropping to 170lbs for this bout after the loss at middleweight.

The bout will feature on the undercard of the event. Both men will be desperate to secure victory in order to cement their places on the roster and it will make for a great encounter in a bout that, on paper, looks very well matched.
