Che Mills Reported As Latest UK Fighter To Ink UFC Deal

BAMMA and Cage Rage veteran Mills could be looking at an Octagon debut at UFC 138 in November.

Che Mills is regarded as the finest unsigned welterweight in the UK, compiling great wins over international opposition such as Marcio Cesar, Jake Hecht and Magomed Shikshabekov over the last year. Battling in Europe's finest promotions like M-1, Cage Warriors and BAMMA, he hasn't shirked any challenges en route towards the big time and it appears that challenging himself may have paid off.

Sources privy to the talks have revealed to YourMMA.tv that Team Trojan's Mills has reportedly inked a deal with the UFC that is likely to see him debut on the Birmingham card, UFC 138. Although there hasn't been official confirmation as yet, it is one of the more obvious choices considering Mills' resume and experience.

A vicious ground and pound KO over Brazilian Cesar at BAMMA 6 proved that Mills was dangerous in all areas, and his defensive wrestling against Jake Hecht at Cage Warriors 38 showed positive signs that he could handle himself in the wrestle-centric UFC welterweight division.

Mills has fought a who's who of UK-based welterweights such as Jimmy Wallhead, Paul Taylor and Marius Zaromskis, and his recent run of form should certainly indicate that he is ready for the top flight.

A slew of British signings have come through since the event was announced, with the promotion keen to showcase local talent. Mills would be joining the likes of Phil Defries, Vaughn Lee and Oli Thompson as newcomers signed to take part on the card on November 5th.
