Paul Sass has had injury woes plague him since entering the UFC in 2010. He featured just once in 2011 when he submitted Michael Johnson, and was forced to withdraw from a bout with Evan Dunham earlier this year.
Back on the recovery trail though, Sass is being lined up to face dangerous wrestler Jacob Volkmann at UFC 146 in Las Vegas.
Sass (12-0 - 11 submissions) has caught the attention of the UFC fans with his unique style, favouring to work off his back with guard pulls and submissions - including the infamous 'Sassangle'.
Volkmann will have no qualms of working from top position though, and he is often content to work there for the full fifteen minutes.
Since dropping to lightweight from welterweight, Volkmann has amassed five straight wins, all via decision.
He has become most known for his outbursts regarding President Obama, but he'll be eager to have his name in lights as the man who snapped Sass' winning streak.
There will be an extra bit of motivation for Liveprool's Sass, as Volkmann beat his Kaobon teammate Paul Kelly back in 2010.
The clash of styles and specialities makes for an interesting tussle, and with verbal agreements already in place, it looks set to take place on May 26th at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
