"The Natural Born Killer" Carlos Condit steps up to the plate to face off against UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre on October 29th in Las Vegas.
The former WEC champion has strung together four wins over tough competition to earn his shot, with the latter three of those wins being (T)KO finishes. Most recently he handed Dong Hyun Kim his first career loss with an emphatic flying knee, and he's now looking to bring his exciting style to the Octagon against the dominant champion.
St-Pierre has looked unstoppable since the upset loss to Matt Serra over four years ago. He now rides a nine-fight win streak over the best welterweight in the world, although his last four have come via decision.
Condit wants to upset the balance at 170lbs and bring in some fresh blood to the title fights, but will he be able to do that against the well-rounded coolness of St-Pierre?
Also on the card is the scintillating fight between two of the toughest and best in the business; BJ Penn and Nick Diaz.
Former lightweight and welterweight champion Penn will get a scrap against the tough Stockton boy, who vacated his Strikeforce belt to stake a claim for the UFC championship.
