Information

This is one of the most famous fights in UK MMA history; at the very first UFC event to be held in England, UFC 38, Ian Freeman met rising star Frank Mir in a heavyweight clash.

Freeman was the biggest name fighter in the UK at the time and he proved why with his demolition of the submission specialist Mir in the first round.

Following his attendance at UFC 138 where he watched the light-heavyweight bout between Cyrille Diabate and Anthony Perosh, Freeman expressed his desire to take on Perosh in one last hurrah for his famous career.

At forty-five, Freeman insists he still has the tools and physical capabilities to make it a great contest so let's see whether the UFC brass are listening.

Until then, enjoy.
